The 7 Keys to Inner Liberation

Quintessence Coaching Method

Need to take stock? Make new choices? Reorient yourself personally and/or professionally? What if every problem in your life contained its solution, and every conflict situation existed, in reality, only to foster the emergence of your unsuspected potential?

The Quintessence Coaching method draws upon the “Quintessence” of key disciplines aimed at individual well-being: naturopathy, psychotherapy, and holistic medicine. This multidimensional approach is essentially structured around the “7 Keys to Inner Liberation,” based on the principle that “everything that happens externally is a reflection of what is happening internally.” It invites you to transform your life by shifting your perspective on the deeper meaning of events that disrupt your existence, by listening to your intuition, the Language of your Soul.

Presentation

Do you sometimes feel like everything is going wrong in your life? Of course, everyone has off days, gets up on the wrong side of the bed, or feels stressed by everyday events. However, when this lasts for several days, or even weeks or months, it eventually drains our energy and we sometimes find ourselves feeling incredibly down.

We end up feeling nothing but the accumulated fatigue in our bodies: muscle tension becomes increasingly oppressive, concentration levels weaken dangerously, and we can even lose sleep.

Whether it’s because the financial pressure is too strong, the work climate is gradually deteriorating, our romantic feelings are becoming confused or non-existent, certain physical ailments are worrying us, our relationships with our parents, children or friends are regularly a source of conflict… In short, when the reasons for getting up in the morning appear less and less stimulating or exciting, “grey clouds” seem to settle around and inside us, causing strong feelings of discomfort and weariness that become increasingly difficult to fade as they last longer.

In this case, what to do? Run to a shrink? Pop pills? Flee to a desert island? Drop everything and start from scratch? Who hasn’t ever felt so overwhelmed by the weight of their trials that the only remaining desire is to leave everything behind and start a new life?

Indeed, these thoughts are not unique to any one individual. How many times, as a coach and naturopath, have I heard them in my practice… not to mention my own complaints, repeated so often in the past, when I believed I was just a poor, helpless little victim facing my “inevitable destiny”!

Of course, while it is strongly advised to have your health assessed by a recognized specialist when “dark thoughts” assail you (such as feeling like you are at the end of your rope, unable to move forward or even wanting to end your life), there are on the other hand a host of practical tools that can help you to clear the gloom clouding your mind day by day BEFORE you get to that point.

What if you possessed within yourself all the solutions to find the peace and harmony you so deeply desire? What if you could take control of your destiny simply by learning to better manage the various stressors that overwhelm you? What if you could become your own best friend, even your own therapist, your motivator, your daily life coach?

The initial hypothesis of this approach is quite simple: could it be that behind every problem, every suffering, every misfortune or every illness, lies an extraordinary gift, a remarkable present just waiting to be revealed for your greatest happiness…

But what if focusing all your attention on the packaging (the triggering event) or the sender (the people involved) prevents you from fully “receiving” this gift, from welcoming the exceptional life lesson it contains, and from integrating it once and for all into your life?

What if, by taking a different look at the various problems affecting your life, you came to see suffering not as a catastrophe you endure, but rather as a challenge to overcome, an invitation to discover unsuspected talents within yourself and to develop qualities that have remained dormant until now? What if you were given the ability to see beyond the appearances and illusions of this world… simply by listening to your inner voice, to decipher the liberating messages your soul sends you?

The Quintessence method, taught since 2009 in Canada and Europe, and presented in detail in the book Tout va mal? Tant mieux!, is used in individual sessions by many therapists and personal coaches, but also by thousands of individuals around the world who, like you, aspire to free themselves from all these illusory beliefs that prevent them from being happy.

This approach is holistic, meaning it encompasses all dimensions of the person, with the stated goal of helping you regain balance and harmony in all areas of your life. In just 7 simple, easy steps that are simple to implement in your daily life, you will identify various effective emotional release techniques that will allow you to free yourself from the suffering that is gripping you.

  • 1st KEY – EXPRESSING ONESELF: What is repressed is imprinted

  • 2nd KEY – DON’T DRAMATIZE: What you resist, persists

  • 3rd KEY – GETTING ROOTED: What we flee from, pursues us

  • 4th KEY – LETTING GO: What affects us, infects us

  • 5th KEY – TAKE RESPONSIBILITY: What you face disappears

  • 6th KEY – UNIFYING: What you visualize, materializes

  • 7th KEY – RADIATE: What we bless, delights us!

The Foundations

THE QUINTESSENCE METHOD: DECIDE TO “GROW” INSTEAD OF ENDURING!

Why are people constantly unhappy? What if it’s simply due to their limited perception of the reality around them? Most people tell themselves: ” When I have money, I’ll build my dream house, and THEN I’ll be happy!   “, ” When I retire, I’ll be able to do the activities I’m passionate about, and THEN I’ll finally be myself! “, or even ” When I have time on my hands, I’ll be able to travel, and THEN I’ll feel free! “. It’s a bit like dreams, aspirations, and desires are like the carrot on the end of a stick that keeps the donkey moving… but never satisfies it!

TO HAVE, TO DO, TO BE :

When I have managed to GET what I need, I will be able to DO what I like and, only then, will I be able to BE happy.

Could it be that we tend to “think backwards”? Believing that happiness lies “outside of ourselves” can only lead to multiple dissatisfactions and frustrations of all kinds in the long run…

What if you chose to develop an attitude completely contrary to your habits?

TO BE, TO DO, TO HAVE :

“I am happy, so I will ensure that I remain so by adopting (MAKE) fulfilling strategies for myself, in order to attract (HAVE) the best solutions to maintain that happiness.” Or, put another way: “I am balanced, so I will make the right choices that will allow me to obtain the desired results in everything!”

In more figurative terms: the happier I am and the more I nurture joy throughout my being, the more I radiate happiness. I then become like a powerful magnet, attracting to me everything I desire, which fulfills me and allows me to radiate even more!

Isn’t that what everyone has aspired to since the dawn of time? And what if it were simply a matter of MAKING THE DECISION TO BE HAPPY and doing everything in my power to remain in that state and, thus, create, manifest, HAVE this wonderful life I have always dreamed of?

AIM FOR BALANCE

Obviously, this does not mean that there will never again be problems, conflicts, misfortunes or painful events occurring during our lives, however, could it be that, when I feel fulfilled and comfortable in my own skin, these have less of an impact on my mood and personal balance, in the short and long term?

Let’s take a concrete example: imagine you’ve had a difficult winter, the gloomy weather has dampened your enthusiasm, overwork has affected your sleep, and eating frequently on the go has somewhat weakened your immune system… If, on top of all that, an unusual situation were to occur, such as a death in the family or a car accident, there’s a good chance this incident would take on catastrophic proportions in your eyes. To use a well-known metaphor, it would be the final straw!

Conversely, if this event occurs when you have just returned from two weeks of vacation in the south, where you have rested well, fully enjoying the sun and the beach, and even taken the opportunity to strengthen your immune defenses by doing some sport and enjoying the wonderful local cuisine… in short, if you are at the top of your game: you would be in a much better position to welcome “bad news” without it wreaking havoc on your mood or affecting your health.

It’s a simple matter of equation: the more I take care to balance all the dimensions within myself, the more energy I store that will make me strong, confident, and solid enough to realistically face life’s many uncertainties.

So, what are these “dimensions” that it is important to respect and harmonize within oneself? Most people around you would readily affirm that they boil down to three very concrete spheres of human experience: the body, the soul, and the spirit… But might there not be an additional dimension that deserves our attention?

CONSIDER THE 4 DIMENSIONS PRESENT WITHIN ONESELF

1st dimension: PHYSICAL Aspect

This is of course about what relates to the PHYSICAL BODY: state of HEALTH, bodily sensations, the response to basic needs including, among others, MATERIAL SECURITY… in short, everything necessary to guarantee the SURVIVAL of an individual.

2nd dimension: EMOTIONAL Aspect

The second dimension relates to the person’s states of MIND: their EMOTIONS and inner FEELINGS. The EMOTIONAL aspect therefore concerns everything that touches or affects the HEART and its moods: feelings, emotional bonds, creative inspiration, artistic talents, selflessness, etc.

3rd dimension: MENTAL Aspect

The MIND, for its part, generally refers to the intellectual abilities of human beings: their capacities for analysis, learning, communication, and REASONING. The MENTAL dimension therefore refers to the part of the human brain that allows us to THINK, reflect, “understand,” and make informed decisions.

4th dimension: SPIRITUAL aspect

The concept of CONSCIOUSNESS seems to be the most controversial dimension of human existence. Is it simply a matter of each individual’s morality, their respect for laws and social conventions, or is it defined more by the humanitarian and altruistic virtues that characterize certain so-called “spiritual” people (such as Mother Teresa)? And what if the SPIRITUAL aspect referred instead to our BELIEFS: to our way of conceiving life on an ethical, social, religious, or philosophical level? Given that we are all interconnected through our belonging to the great human family, it would also encompass the conscious or unconscious ENERGY FLUCTUATIONS to which we are all subject, both individually and collectively…

4 DIMENSIONS = 4 SPECIFIC SYMBOLS

You will notice that I have used various geometric shapes to illustrate each of the four spheres of human experience. These particular symbols will appear throughout this book to allow you to quickly identify each of the dimensions present within yourself, as you progress through the seven steps leading to your complete inner liberation.

Thus, the PHYSICAL aspect is designated by a TRIANGLE, as it refers to the tangible, concrete, and visible parts of the being—its “embodied,” down-to-earth side. With all its attention focused on survival, it is normal for energy to concentrate more in the lower BODY than in the upper body; hence the “solid” base of the TRIANGLE.

In second position, since it goes without saying that feelings are expressed through the HEART, I chose a DIAMOND to designate the EMOTIONAL dimension, given that it emphasizes the central part of the being; energy unfolding more in the middle of the body than in its extremities.

Given that the third aspect, the MENTAL, refers to thoughts and intellect, the INVERTED TRIANGLE option is self-evident; the energy required to reflect and analyze naturally concentrates around the HEAD of the person concerned.

Finally, the SPIRITUAL dimension being more difficult to grasp, but nevertheless present throughout the body, the SQUARE appeared as a logical choice to demonstrate that consciousness and energetic “waves” influence the WHOLE BEING, as a whole.

To return to the concept of happiness as previously stated, it is greatly enhanced when the four main spheres of human experience are harmoniously balanced. Therefore, it is by consciously aligning (spiritual dimension) my thoughts (mental dimension), my emotions (emotional dimension), and my actions (physical dimension) that I achieve the unification of all aspects within myself… to enjoy an increasingly simple, easy, and joyful existence! pensées (dimension mentale), mes émotions (dimension émotionnelle) et mes actions (dimension physique) que j’obtiens l’unification de tous les aspects présents en moi-même… pour jouir d’une existence de plus en plus simple, facile et joyeuse!

The Tools

TAKE ACTION TO GROW UP BETTER

While the core of the Quintessence method ideally lies in preserving a harmonious balance between the four dimensions of our being, it remains true that our lives rarely unfold like a long, calm river. Unfortunate, sad, or unfortunate events frequently disrupt our inner peace.

When this happens, any normally constituted human being will respond to the situation either with a diffuse emotional reaction or by taking direct action – depending on their internal state, whether physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual. Hence the importance of building up reserves in each of these fundamental dimensions…

The table below details what will happen to an individual if they feel they are SUFFERING from distressing disturbances or if, on the contrary, they decide to do everything possible to restore harmony within themselves and, thus, GROW in full self-recognition.

Imagine that you unexpectedly receive very bad news (a breakup, job loss, death, etc.). Most people will initially feel like they’ve been punched in the gut, a direct hit to the solar plexus. This sensitive area, located just above the diaphragm, is often perceived as the seat of our emotions and desires (our dreams and aspirations). It’s the part of us that illuminates us, like a magnificent inner sun; the part that encourages us to always keep hope alive and keeps us going.

When a major crisis erupts in our lives, whether it’s a trial or a significant problem, it’s our solar plexus that will be affected first and foremost. The suffering that then takes hold within us will awaken other similar wounds buried deep inside. These wounds—of the soul, of childhood, or of circumstance—in turn rekindle past pains that amplify our inner turmoil, pushing us to dramatize the situation even further.

Once again, we are faced with the same two possibilities: either our REACTION (Choice A – bottom of the table) is to SUFFER the situation, like a terrible personal and/or existential drama, or we mobilize all our vital energy and take ACTION (Choice B – top of the table), so that this painful experience can contribute to our GROWING internally.

A) REACT = SUBJECT

It goes without saying that the decision is rarely made consciously. If our vulnerability is amplified by a host of unhealed wounds, there’s a good chance that our reaction will initially manifest as inner tension or strong emotions (anger, sadness, guilt, etc.). This influx of negative energy will pour into our body like a flow of molten lava, devastating everything in its path, neutralizing all our objective thoughts, and temporarily paralyzing the normal functioning of our organism.

If we manage to take a deep breath and step back, we might be able to control this powerful tide of stress that’s crashing over us. But if we let ourselves be overwhelmed by anxiety or panic, it will result in significant psychological blockages that will inevitably disrupt our personality. At that point, our ego will take over and try to fill the voids with survival mechanisms or self-defense reflexes, which unfortunately are likely to be poorly received by those around us.

Again, if we manage to pull ourselves together and reason with ourselves, the “internal damage” will not be too significant. However, if we allow ourselves to be too deeply affected by the seemingly critical turn of events, it would not be surprising if we began to experience physical discomfort… and this could even degenerate into serious illnesses or, worse still, severe trauma (heart attack, stroke, etc.).

B) ACT = GROW

Fortunately, just as we can train ourselves to overcome our most terrifying fears, it is possible, at any point during the “process”, to turn the tide and opt for the second solution: GROW by taking ACTION.

This choice assumes that we have become aware that “nothing happens by chance” and that, rather than viewing the element of CRISIS as a PROBLEM or an overwhelming TRIAL, we can decide to view it as a CHALLENGE to overcome or an opportunity to meet the NEEDS that we have undoubtedly “neglected” within ourselves – and which have made us vulnerable to adversity.

A return to the four dimensions within us is then necessary, in order to determine which “tire” is deflated or weakened compared to the others. If we are frank and honest with ourselves, the “forgotten” or “neglected” aspect within us will quickly become apparent. Otherwise, some investigation will likely be required. We might ask ourselves: how have we spent most of our time these past few weeks? What concerns have occupied our thoughts? What “emergencies” have distracted us from our quest for fulfillment and well-being? By looking closely, our “shortcomings” will become clear.

From the moment we commit to restoring balance within ourselves, it’s as if everything falls into place to help us achieve this. In fact, by opening ourselves to our own creative potential, we become aware of the countless “miracles” we “attract” into our lives.

When we are filled with appreciation and gratitude, we feel as if we are receiving many unexpected gifts, and wonderful synchronicities (or favorable coincidences) are unfolding around us: meeting the right person at the right time, receiving an unexpected call, being offered a promotion at work, receiving an unexpected sum of money, etc. All of this puts us in an even better frame of mind to welcome and adequately overcome the “supposed” crisis we were facing…

Apparently, when we take care of our “inner self,” the “outer” clouds dissipate and the SUN returns to our lives! This doesn’t mean we’ll become indifferent to grief, breakups, and other upheavals of all kinds, but, deep down, we’ll be convinced that we have exactly what it takes to get through any TRIAL and emerge STRONGER.

It is at this moment that we can speak of HEALING THE SOUL: by discovering WHO WE REALLY ARE, a lasting peace settles within us and we can fully enjoy the best that LIFE has to offer!

To go further…

While the very brief description of the various components in the previous table has given you an overview of the objectives and applications of the Quintessence method, it remains that many nuances can be made depending on the particular aspects that have been affected by the “triggering element” which has shaken our states of being globally.

To explore these teachings more deeply, several options are available to you. Take the time to reflect and consider what would bring you the most benefit in terms of your personal growth…
